1.Author copyright

When an article is published in Review of Economics and Finance, the author or authors of the article retain its copyright. Authors do not hand ownership of their work to the journal. They may republish the article as part of a book or other materials, provided they follow the reuse conditions set out below.

2.Licence and what it allows

Published articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This is an open licence that lets readers use the work widely, as long as the authors are credited.

3.Author responsibilities

By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that:

• The work is original, is unpublished, and is not under consideration by another journal. See our Plagiarism Policy.
• All listed authors agree to its submission and to the terms of this policy.
• The work does not infringe the rights of any other person or organisation.

Third-party material

If your article includes figures, tables, images, datasets, long quotations or other material that belongs to someone else, you are responsible for getting written permission to reuse it and for showing a clear credit line. Material that is not covered by the article’s licence should be labelled as such, so readers know what they may and may not reuse.

4.Reusing your own article

Because you keep the copyright, you may reuse your published article, for example in a book chapter, a thesis, a course pack or a personal or institutional website. When you do, you should:

• Cite the original source. State that the article was originally published in Review of Economics and Finance, and include the article DOI.
• Accept that the article stays with the journal. The article remains published by Review of Economics and Finance, except where it is retracted.
• Keep the licence. The article remains licensed under CC BY 4.0.

5.Reuse by readers and others

Readers, students, libraries, institutions and other publishers may share and reuse our articles under the CC BY 4.0 licence without asking for permission first, provided they give credit. This includes placing the published article in a repository or on a course website, quoting from it, translating it, and including it in teaching materials.

When you reuse an article, please credit it in this form:

If you change the article, for example by translating or abridging it, say so clearly and do not imply that the original authors or the journal approve of your version.

Every article carries a copyright statement. It appears on the article’s abstract page and on the last page of the article PDF. The statement follows this form:

7.Retractions

An article stays published by Review of Economics and Finance, except where it is retracted. Retractions are handled under our Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement and our Plagiarism Policy.

8.Permissions and questions

Most reuse of our articles needs no permission, as long as the terms above are followed.
